The time-frequency analysis has been widely used for signal analysis,modelling, systhesis, reconstruction, time-varying filtering, compression, coding,signal detection, parameter estimation and pattern recognition, etc. After the simple introduction about the time-frequency analysis, this paper reviews the principal applications and researching advances of time-frequency analysis in acoustics. (eg. Bioacoustics, Medical Ultrasonics, Underwater Acoustics, Acoustic Phonetics, etc.) |
