The paper discusses the development of an inproved ultrasonic atomization process used for manufacturing superfine metallic powders. The process can reduce the productivity oscillation caused by the changes of horn loading. The schematic device, related parameters and experimental results are provided. At 20kHz, the percentage of metallic powders with diameters under 180μm is 84% and the granular percentage is 94%. |
