| To control the eddy current loss so as to enhance efficiency, an econimic and effective method for slotting a Terfenol rod was pointed out in literature[8]. We put forward a simple method to caculate the mumber of slots needed to meet the demonds on the resonance frequency. An illustrating example offers results consistent with the discussions given in [8]. |
