Multipolarized MIMO technology has great potential in MIMO communication systems with high spectrum efficiency and compactness. The behavior of a multipolarized MIMO channel depends strongly on the radiation property of the antenna, the scattering characteristic of the propagation environment and the interactions between them, however, there are still big challengers in the realization of compact and low coupled multipolarized MIMO antenna. In this paper, some theories related to the channel modeling of multipolarized MIMO system, antenna realization, and some channel measurement experiments are briefly introduced and summarized. Finally, some problems and research directions are pointed out. |
