| Virtual instrument (VI) is the outcome accomplished with the development of electronics technology, measurement and test sciences as well as computer teclmology.This article introduces the basic concept, advantages, general structures and characteristics of the VI. Our work on the application of VI in ultrasonic measurement, Rock and Soil Engineering Quality Detection and Analysis Instrument, is also introduced. Finally the future of VI is discussed. |
