A type of Terfenol-D spherical transducer is designed and developed. Using FEM software ANSYS, a series of electro-acoustic characteristics of the transducer has been modeled and the computed results are in good agreement with the measurements. With a resonant frequency of 6.3KHz in water and Q factor (-3dB) of 2.63, it is proved to be a type of low-frequency and broadband transducer. |
