A novel method based on particle swarm optimization (PSO) is applied to search
for the optimal microphone arrangement on the Archimedes spiral line, which takes the side
lobe level as the fitness function. Numerical simulation with PSO indicates the optimal
arrangement of the array which shows its best performance compared with other configurations.
Experimental results of source localization and measurement in the semi-anechoic chamber
demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed scheme |
