| The receptive array with directivity in the vertical plane has weight effect on the incident wave. In this paper the formula of additional sound transmission loss is derived, and the sonar equation for the array is accordingly modeled. The effect of depth-sound speed profile on the additional sound transdssion loss is discussed. An example with a negative gradient depth profile of sound speed is presented, where the calculated values are shown to be in agreement with the experimental data. |
